The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) has reported a 29.8 per cent increase in the value of Iran’s agricultural and food product exports for the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20-June 20), compared to the same period last year. During this time, Iran exported 1,562,000 tonnes of agricultural commodities, valued at $684 million, marking a 28 per cent year-on-year increase in value.
Apples, in-shell pistachios, watermelons, field tomatoes, and greenhouse tomatoes were the leading exports in terms of value.
