Katya Simmons has been appointed Managing Director for Coffee at Nestlé UK & Ireland

Nestlé UK & Ireland has announced several appointments to its senior leadership team, naming Katya Simmons, Martin Krohn and Lorenzo Vigano to key roles across its coffee, manufacturing and professional foodservice businesses.

Katya Simmons has been appointed Managing Director for Coffee at Nestlé UK & Ireland. Simmons began her career with Nestlé in Russia in 2002, holding a range of sales, commercial development and marketing roles before becoming Managing Director for Nestlé Professional Russia and Eurasia in 2015. Under her leadership, the business delivered strong growth and profitability.

She moved to the UK in 2017 and was appointed Managing Director of Nestlé Professional UK & Ireland in 2018, a role she held for more than seven years. During this time, Simmons drove market share growth, business model transformation under Project MORE, and strengthened customer collaboration and team culture, while reinforcing commitments to sustainability and youth skills development.

“I am thrilled to be leading the Coffee sector in the UK and Ireland,” Simmons said. “Coffee has an exciting future ahead and I’m proud to be part of the team driving growth across our incredible brands.”

Martin Krohn has been appointed Head of Technical & Production, Nestlé UK & Ireland, with responsibility for coffee, confectionery and food factories, including Mindful Chef and Simply Cook operations. Krohn joined Nestlé in 2005 and has held senior manufacturing and industrial performance roles across Germany, Bulgaria and Europe. Most recently, he led European confectionery manufacturing for the KitKat and Wafer cluster.

“It’s a pleasure to move into this role,” Krohn said. “Safety and quality are paramount to everything we do at Nestlé.”

Lorenzo Vigano has been appointed Managing Director, Nestlé Professional UK & Ireland. He brings extensive out-of-home and beverage experience, having held senior roles across Italy, Europe and Turkey, where he rapidly scaled the business.

“It’s an honour to lead Nestlé Professional at such an exciting time,” Vigano said, highlighting a continued focus on customer partnership, sustainability and innovation.
