“This investment allows Nestlé to strengthen its presence in fast-growing categories such as healthy plant-based foods, beverages, and snacks”

New vegan beverage line Nature’s Path will launch in Mexico and Ecuador this year. The line will feature almond milk blended with fruit juices in flavors such as Almond + Apple, Almond + Peach, Almond + Red Fruit, and Almond + Tropical Fruit.

The Nature’s Path brand is owned by Ecuador-based Company Terrafertil, which food corporation Nestlé recently acquired.

“This investment allows Nestlé to strengthen its presence in fast-growing categories such as healthy plant-based foods, beverages, and snacks,” CEO of Nestlé Zone America Laurent Freixe said.

“It is also aligned with our vision to be the leading nutrition, health, and Wellness Company.”

Major food corporations are capitalizing on growing demand for plant-based products by diversifying their portfolios, including dairy giant Dean Foods, which became a majority stakeholder in flax-based vegan brand Good Karma Foods in July.
