Raiven Capital, a Dubai-based investment firm, has made a strategic investment in Vertical
Harvest, Inc., a vertical farming pioneer recently spotlighted by The Washington Post as
leading Vertical Farming 2.0.
Vertical Harvest’s flagship farm in Westbrook, Maine, demonstrates unprecedented scale and
efficiency: producing the equivalent of 250 acres of traditional farmland on just half an acre,
using percent less water, and achieving the lowest energy consumption per pound of food.
Leveraging advanced digital systems from Elevated Signals and Siemens, the company has
built a replicable, scalable platform for sustainable, Controlled Environment Agriculture
(CEA).
“Traditional agriculture is at a breaking point,” said Supreet Manchanda, Founding Partner,
Raiven Capital. “Vertical Harvest is reinventing not only how we grow food, but where and
by whom. Their farms are scalable infrastructure for the future, with powerful Climatech
applications across the Middle East and beyond.”
By integrating AI with CEA, Vertical Harvest overcomes labor and energy constraints,
radically improving resource efficiency, margins, and scalability — a model Raiven sees as
inseparable, akin to autonomous vehicles or biotech innovation.
Vertical Harvest also embeds inclusive employment, creating tailored opportunities for
underrepresented workers, including people with disabilities. “Our farms don’t just grow
food. They grow futures,” said Nona Yehia, CEO & Co-Founder.
“Food security is national security,” added Paul Dugsin, Founding Partner, Raiven Capital.
“Vertical Harvest is transforming agriculture while driving economic inclusion and
resilience.”
With Raiven Capital’s global reach and Dubai innovation hub, Vertical Harvest is poised to
scale its model, delivering food sovereignty, climate resilience, and social impact in smart
cities worldwide.
