French brand Monin to launch manufacturing unit in Telangana India

In the first phase, the company plans to construct a 200,000-square-foot facility for the Monin India headquarters, which will include an all-inclusive R&D centre and a production unit

The leading French gourmet flavourings brand, Monin launched the work on its first manufacturing unit in India on the outskirts of Hyderabad Telangana. 

The new plant is being constructed on a 40-acre of Gunthapally village, Sangareddy district, with an investment of Rs 300 crore.

In the first phase, the company plans to construct a 200,000-square-foot facility for the Monin India headquarters, which will include an all-inclusive R&D centre and a production unit.

This modern manufacturing facility will primarily serve the Indian market and surrounding South Asian regions.

K.T. Rama Rao, Telangana Industries Minister, Olivier Monin, President & Chairman of Georges Monin SAS, Germain Araud, Managing Director of Monin India Pvt Ltd and Thierry Berthelot, French Consul General in Bengaluru, were present at the groundbreaking ceremony.

After visiting eight different states, none had the same business spirit as Telangana, said Olivier Monin praising Telangana for its business-friendly environment.

KTR announced the launch of the first Monin plant in South Asia and the eighth in the world. The plant will be zero-waste and zero-pollution.

The new plant will create 150 direct jobs and 200 indirect jobs for the local youth of Telangana.

The minister mentioned that many global companies are establishing centres in Telangana, and the addition of Monin has enhanced the state’s food processing ecosystem.

Monin, a French brand established in 1912, creates innovative flavour solutions. It has 7 production facilities globally: two in France and the US each, and one in Russia, Malaysia, and China.
