Oishi Group is set to be delisted from Thailand’s stock exchange following ThaiBev’s acquisition of 70,662,764 shares in the company.
ThaiBev has acquired additional shares amounting to 18.84 per cent of Oishi, which has increased its ownership in the company to 98.5 per cent.
In 2008, Yodkit Thurakij sold a 43.9 per cent stake in Oishi to ThaiBev for THB 3.045 billion (approximately $94 million).
The tender offer for Oishi Group’s delisting in Thailand closed on August 21st.
Oishi, a Thailand-based company, exports Oishi Green Tea ready-to-drink beverages and operates Japanese restaurants domestically.
ThaiBev acquired Fraser and Neave in 2012, which owned a range of food and beverage brands including Carnation and Sunkist.
