Singapore has released a joint statement with France towards a commitment to facilitate essential food and agriculture supply chain active and accessible. Both countries aim to ensure that transportation and delivery link remain uninterrupted to facilitate the flow of essential food and agriculture products.
They also plan to facilitate the partnership between food companies, importers, and distributors in both countries to promote business opportunities and collaborations. The ministers will work with relevant service providers to look into the air and sea freight needs to keep up the supply of food and agricultural products.
As more markets enter the recovery phase with the number of infections coming under control, supply chain issues are gradually being resolved, focussing more on recovering the economy. FIA (Food Industry Asia) is closely monitoring the status of recovery for each country’s food supply chain in the areas of logistics, manufacturing, import/export and foodservice represented in its dashboard.
