The plant will feature integrated R&D facilities.

China-based dietary supplement manufacturer Sirio Pharma has opened a new gummy production plant in Ma’anshan, China, as it aims to meet increased demand for functional gummies from global markets.

The 26,000 square-metre gummy production plant will form part of the company’s 240,000 square-metre Centre of Excellence, and will increase Sirio’s gummy production capacity to 2.4 billion gummies per year.

The plant will feature integrated R&D facilities, and will be capable of producing liquid filled, centre-filled, swirled and multi-coloured gummies for customers in the nutraceuticals industry.
