The recall in Singapore came after Kellogg’s issued a global recall last Thursday.

Singapore- Consumers in Singapore who have bought Kellogg’s Honey Smacks cereal are advised to dispose of the product immediately due to the potential presence of salmonella bacteria.

The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) first recalled the 15.3 oz and 23 oz packs of the cereal on Sunday, but it has now advised customers not to consume the cereal at all – regardless of pack size or best-before date.

RedMart, an online supermarket which imports the cereal to Singapore, has also advised customers to “immediately dispose of the product”.

The recall in Singapore came after Kellogg’s issued a global recall last Thursday. The US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention said then that an outbreak of the salmonella bacteria in the United States, linked to the Honey Smacks cereal, had affected 73 people.
