Customers and suppliers across China and Hong Kong will benefit from the value-added services offered

Brenntag, the global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution, announced the opening of its new Life Sciences Innovation & Application Centre in Shanghai, strengthening its commitment to supporting customers and suppliers in China and Hong Kong with advanced technical capabilities and closer access to application expertise.

Liu Hua, President of Brenntag Specialities China and Hong Kong, said, “The new centre in Shanghai allows us to work even more closely with partners across China and Hong Kong. As a collaborative innovation platform, it enables formulation development, application testing, and concept creation across Brenntag’s Life Sciences portfolio, helping us translate ingredient expertise into practical solutions for the market.”

The centre supports the development of Beauty & Care formulations for a wide range of personal care and home care products. Equipped with formulation and testing capabilities, the facility enables activities such as emulsion structure analysis, surfactant foam performance evaluation, hair combing force testing, skin analysis, and laundry performance testing, while a laboratory-scale mixing system supports small-batch production trials and process validation for formulation optimisation.

Through formulation development and tasting evaluations, Brenntag helps customers develop innovative product concepts that respond to changing consumer preferences and emerging health and wellness trends.
