ALCA is the first customer worldwide to bring products to market with the new SIG Prime 55 In-Line Aseptic, SIG’s next-generation aseptic spouted pouch filling system
SIG, a global leader in packaging systems and solutions, and ALCA Corp, a leading supplier of tropical fruit ingredients, announced the launch of the first products filled on SIG’s next-generation aseptic spouted pouch system featuring in-line pouch sterilisation: SIG Prime 55 In-Line Aseptic, removing the need for third-party pre-sterilisation of spouted pouches. The official debut at Anuga 2025, one of the world’s largest food and beverage trade fairs, held in Cologne, Germany.
This milestone innovation represents a major step forward in aseptic pouch technology. ALCA is the first customer worldwide to bring products to market with the new SIG Prime 55 In-Line Aseptic, SIG’s next-generation aseptic spouted pouch filling system. SIG has thereby combined its longstanding experience in the field of aseptic pouch filling with decades of expertise in aseptic carton filling technology with in-line sterilisation. Key benefits of the SIG Prime 55 In-Line Aseptic include: High output (filling speeds of up to 55 pouches per minute), lower TCO (in-line sterilisation reduces operating costs), and flexibility (filling volumes ranging from 30ml to 500ml). With three factories, ALCA brings together more than 60 years of combined expertise in producing aseptic juices and purees. The company exports to over 70 countries and supplies bulk packaging for further processing to leading manufacturers of baby food, beverages, and healthy snacks worldwide.
