To address the rising need for specialised aseptic line expertise in the Americas, Sidel has established a dedicated training centre in Atlanta, which opened on 28 August 2025, focused on boosting workforce skills, increasing productivity, and empowering customers to achieve their goals.
The new training facility is designed to strengthen trainees’ skills in state-of-the-art aseptic PET operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational excellence.
Through practical training on technical benches that replicate real production scenarios and equipment, trainees gain everyday experience in a controlled, immersive environment – eliminating disruption to live production.
“This method enhances aseptic maintenance and operations skills while reducing reliance on on-the-job training. Trainees can safely copy issues and repeat tasks as needed, boosting confidence and productivity on the shop floor,” comments Olivier Cocheril, VP Asset Performance & Digital Services, Sidel.
“By avoiding real equipment use, customers save costs and eliminate risks, while benefiting from customised training tailored to all experience levels and specific challenges.”
Sidel’s new facility will offer local training programs focused on aseptic processing, equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices to ensure food safety and quality. It will also serve as a demonstration site for Sidel’s aseptic filling solutions and a technical support resource for customers.
The new training centre covers a comprehensive range of courses across Sidel’s Aseptic Combi system, a solution built from Sidel’s extensive knowledge and pioneering innovations in packaging design, blowing, and filling for sensitive beverages. Trainees will experience a variety of scenarios that simulate real operations and breakdowns, preparing them to handle challenges confidently. Training paths are carefully structured with separate modules tailored specifically for operators and maintenance technicians. Throughout the courses, all training aligns with FDA and OSHA regulations to ensure full compliance with industry safety and quality standards.
