Beverage industry pioneer Hauser Weinimport and packaging solutions leader Sidel are celebrating a major milestone: 15 years of successful operation of Germany’s first Combi Predis aseptic PET packaging line, which has now produced more than 600 million bottles.

Installed in 2010 at Hauser’s Fischbach plant, the Combi Predis line marked a significant step forward in beverage manufacturing, combining high operational efficiency, advanced food safety, and environmental responsibility.

Hauser Weinimport, a family-owned company founded in the 1950s, transitioned from producing vermouths and liqueurs to a broad range of non-alcoholic soft drinks and flavoured teas under popular brands like Pacific Wave, Bio Eistee, and Eistee Premium. The company is also a trusted co-packer for multiple beverage brands.

“Hauser Weinimport is always looking at trends and striving for innovation. This is what we found in common with Sidel,” said Mayer, CEO, Hauser Weinimport.

The Sidel Combi Predis line provides Hauser with the flexibility to fill a variety of beverage types, from iced teas to their signature sangria, El Curador. It operates at up to 18,000 bottles per hour for 0.5L formats, and also accommodates 1L and 1.5L bottles, enabling seamless changeovers without major downtime.

“When the thread neck diameter remains unchanged, as it does with many of our products, our highly trained operators can complete product changeovers quickly, minimising system downtime,” said Florian Kotnig, Head of Production at Hauser Weinimport.
