McDonald’s Corporation to acquire back franchise restaurants in Israel

The business has now expanded to 225 restaurants, with over 5,000 employees

Omri Padan, CEO and owner of Alonyal Limited has confirmed that McDonald’s Corporation has signed an agreement to acquire Alonyal. Alonyal is in charge of operating and owning McDonald’s restaurants in Israel, where it started its journey more than 30 years ago. The business has now expanded to 225 restaurants, with over 5,000 employees. Under the terms of the agreement, McDonald’s Corporation will take over Alonyal’s restaurants and operations, and their employees will continue working under similar conditions.

Omri Padan expressed gratitude to the management, employees, suppliers, and customers who made Alonyal a success story in Israel. He said, “We are encouraged by what the future holds.”

Jo Sempels, President of International Developmental Licensed Markets at McDonald’s Corporation, thanked Alonyal for their contributions to building the McDonald’s brand in Israel over the past 30 years. He also added that McDonald’s will continue its commitment to the Israeli market and ensure a positive experience for both employees and customers.

The transaction will be subject to certain conditions, and the closing is expected to take place in the coming months.
