US-based CPS LED Lighting has launched its new Pres-sure Light LED high bay lighting series (CPS-PSL) featuring NSF certification for food processing applications.

The company noted that its new lighting series has been tested according to the standard of IEC 60529: 2013 degrees of protection, as well as ISO 20653: 2013, and also complies with the IP69K food processing standards.

The new Pres-sure Light LED high bay lighting series features a domed design with polyester powder-coated surface and does not include glass or exposed screws.

The lighting systems manufacturer claims that its new high bay lamps do not allow the accumulation of dust, water and dangerous bacteria.

Sean Tanner, CPS LED Lighting president said: “The Pres-sure Light LED is designed specifically to meet all the health and safety requirements of any food processing facility. The daily chemical wash down process has been challenging for food plant managers because bacteria can get caught in the grooves, pits, cracks, and crevices of most high bay lighting fixtures. Not only that, but durability is a factor when using 1,600psi water pressure in the cleaning process. Over time, those powerful jets inadvertently cause peeling or loosening of epoxy paint chips used in previous designs.”

Tanner further explained that its new lighting series is made from non-toxic materials with an epoxy resin powder coat that will not chip or peel.
