The certification comes at a meaningful time, positioning Tim Hortons as a gathering destination for Iftar meals and Eid celebrations
Tim Hortons Singapore has officially received Halal certification from Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS) across all its existing restaurants islandwide, marking a significant milestone for the Canadian coffeehouse brand as it prepares to celebrate the upcoming Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr season with the local community.
The MUIS Halal certification, widely regarded as a global gold standard in Halal assurance, enables Tim Hortons to offer its full menu to the Muslim community in Singapore. The certification covers the brand’s entire range of signature coffees, iced beverages, sandwiches and freshly baked items, reinforcing its commitment to inclusivity within Singapore’s multicultural dining landscape.
The certification comes at a meaningful time, positioning Tim Hortons as a gathering destination for Iftar meals and Eid celebrations. The brand highlighted that dining in Singapore plays an important cultural role in fostering social connection, and the MUIS endorsement strengthens its promise to provide a welcoming environment for all guests.
For Ramadan, Tim Hortons is spotlighting several menu categories suited for communal dining and festive hosting. Hearty Iftar options include its Signature Grilled Sandwiches, such as Pesto Chicken and Montreal Beef Pastrami. For festive sharing, Timbits and Assorted Doughnut boxes are positioned as ideal treats for family gatherings and Hari Raya visits.
The beverage menu prepared under Halal-certified protocols features 100 per cent premium Arabica coffee offerings, including the Maple Cinnamon Latte and Montreal Latte, alongside its signature Iced Capps (Frappe iced beverages), espresso-based drinks and non-caffeinated refreshments. A broader savoury selection of made-to-order sandwiches, bagels and baked goods further expands its all-day dining appeal.
The journey to MUIS certification involved a comprehensive audit of Tim Hortons’ operational ecosystem, including supply chain management, ingredient sourcing and in-store preparation processes. The rigorous assessment ensures that the brand’s global quality standards are fully aligned with MUIS’ religious compliance and food safety requirements.
With Halal certification now in place across Singapore, Tim Hortons strengthens its positioning as an inclusive neighbourhood coffeehouse while expanding its reach within one of Southeast Asia’s most diverse consumer markets.
