Australia’s Tempo Group has acquired Spring Gully Foods IP and Brands, including Spring Gully, Gardener, Leabrook Farms, and OZEMITE, safeguarding the historic Australian food brand following its entry into administration earlier this year.

Founded in 1946, Spring Gully Foods has been a trusted name in Australian kitchens for more than 75 years, renowned for its range of locally made pickles, sauces, relishes, and condiments.

Under Tempo’s ownership, the brand will continue delivering products Australians know and love, with renewed focus on innovation and long-term growth.

Tempo Executive Director Nicholas Stergiotis said the acquisition reflects Tempo’s commitment to supporting local manufacturing and preserving heritage Australian food brands.

“Spring Gully Foods holds a special place in the hearts of Australian consumers. We’re proud to ensure this iconic brand continues its journey under the Tempo Group, backed by our strong FMCG network and commitment to quality,” Stergiotis said.

“This acquisition also strengthens our presence in the shelf-stable and pantry goods sector, aligning with our broader strategy to grow our multi-brand and private label business.”

Tempo’s acquisition of Spring Gully Foods follows several strategic expansions, including the addition of Brunswick, Paramount, Nourish Foods, and Organic Choice to its portfolio.

Tempo Group continues focusing on creating innovative, sustainable, and family-friendly food and household brands for Australian and international markets.

The acquisition rescues Spring Gully Foods from administration, ensuring continuity for the 75-year-old brand and its product lines.

Tempo’s existing FMCG distribution network and multi-brand portfolio provide infrastructure to support Spring Gully’s recovery and growth.

The deal strengthens Tempo’s position in shelf-stable and pantry goods, a category that has maintained strong performance as consumers seek value and convenience in grocery shopping.
