Careem expands services in Al Ain with launch of Careem Food

This step marks the beginning of Careem’s expansion in Al Ain, with plans to launch additional services in the coming months

Careem, the leading multi-service platform in the Middle East, announced the launch of Careem Food, a food delivery service, in Al Ain. This is an additional service the company offers in the city, following its taxi booking service and Careem Pay payment services. This step marks the beginning of Careem’s expansion in Al Ain, with plans to launch additional services in the coming months.

Al Ain residents can now order meals from a wide range of beloved local restaurants, such as Eidan Mandi, which is available for delivery for the first time exclusively through Careem Food. Options also include popular local and regional names such as Blaban, Ladro Cafe, Al Baz, Freez, Qasr Al Mansaf, Just Burger, and many more, available through the app.

This move comes at a time when Al Ain is experiencing a shortage of food delivery services, with limited options in terms of variety and convenience for residents. The city is home to a growing number of Emirati families and residents of other nationalities seeking seamless daily services, including food delivery.

In this context, Abdulla Mohammed, General Manager of Careem in Abu Dhabi, said: “Al Ain has always been a special focus for us, not only as a major market, but as a deeply rooted community that deserves carefully designed services. After listening to the residents and understanding their daily needs, we are pleased to begin our expansion in Al Ain today with the launch of the Careem Food service, with more services to be added soon to simplify daily life for the local community.”

Careem Food expanded to Abu Dhabi in 2024 and quickly became the city’s preferred food delivery option. Since then, demand has skyrocketed, with one customer placing 103 orders in just one month in 2025, another placing 19 orders in just one day, and the highest number of orders in a single week by an individual customer reaching 37.
