A regulatory application for Aleph Cuts has been submitted in coordination with the Thai Union, aiming to introduce cultivated beef to the Thai market
Aleph Farms has announced the submission of its first application for regulatory approval of cultivated meat in Thailand. This milestone, achieved in collaboration with our valued partner, Thai Union, represents a significant step toward commercialising Aleph Cuts—our renowned cultivated beef steaks—in the Thai market.
The safety dossier has been submitted to BIOTEC, a governmental agency appointed by the Thailand Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA) as the Safety Assessment Unit for cultivated meat products. This submission marks the beginning of a comprehensive regulatory process aimed at enabling the sale of Aleph Cuts in Thailand. It reflects our broader vision of promoting innovation and sustainability in food systems across Southeast Asia.
“Thailand is celebrated for its rich culinary heritage and its position as a major global food production hub, earning the title ‘Kitchen of the World,’” says Didier Toubia, CEO and Co-Founder of Aleph Farms. “The country is strategically positioning itself as a leader in novel foods, fostering a fair and inclusive transition toward sustainable and secure food systems. Like many neighbouring nations, Thailand imports the majority of its beef. Our regulatory submission is a major advancement in Aleph Farms’ strategy for Southeast Asia and the broader APAC region.”
