Nestlé announces an agreement to sell its Nordic Professional Premium Culinary business, which includes the brands OSCAR and PULJONKI, as well as two factories located in Roennede, Denmark, and Juuka, Finland, to Solina. The transaction is expected to close end of March following an information process with employees where required.
“We firmly believe that Solina is the right new owner and that they will provide the right environment for nurturing the continued success of the Professional Premium Culinary Business in the Nordics. The decision to sell this part of our business will give it the best conditions for future growth whilst allowing Nestlé to place greater focus on the remaining out-of-home portfolio. Nestlé remains committed to the Nordics and will continue to offer high-quality food and beverage products to Nordic families, in and out of home” says Torben Emborg, Nestlé Nordic Market Head.
The acquisition of Oscar and Puljonki signifies a pivotal moment in Solina’s efforts to strengthen its presence across various channels in the global food landscape and will empower the brands to introduce their high-quality culinary solutions to new markets and customers.
Nestlé has been involved in the Professional Premium Culinary business in the Nordics since 2011, following the acquisition of the OSCAR & Puljonki divisions of the Paulig Group. This divesture solely pertains to Nestlé’s Professional Premium Culinary Business in the Nordics, while all other Nordic categories remain unaffected. Nestlé Professional Zone Europe will continue to oversee Premium Culinary outside of the Nordics, currently operating under CHEF.
