SFA recalls organic wheat-free quick oats from Finland due to false claims

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has directed Little Farms to recall a Finland-made product as a precautionary measure

Honest to Goodness Organic Wheat Free Quick Oats are being recalled due to undeclared allergen gluten, despite the packaging claiming it is gluten-free.

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has directed Little Farms to recall a Finland-made product as a precautionary measure. Little Farms has halted sales of the product.

The recalled batches expire on May 9, 2024, and Oct 27, 2024.

Food Standards Australia New Zealand also has issued a notification on the recall of Honest to Goodness Organic Wheat Free Quick Oats.

SFA regulations prohibit the use of false or misleading claims on pre-packed food products that do not reflect the true nature of their contents.

Gluten is a type of protein naturally found in wheat and other grains. It does not pose a food safety issue to consumers at large, except for those who are intolerant of or allergic to gluten.
