The three executives, namely, Bob Furbee, Jim Sterbenz and Emily Waldorf will report to Campbell’s President and Chief Executive Officer Denise Morrison.

Campbell Soup Company, the company that makes a range of products from soups and simple meals to snacks and healthy beverages has announced that it has promoted three internal executives into wider senior responsibilities. The three executives are:

  • Bob Furbee, who became Senior Vice President, Campbell Soup Company and Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain from Senior Vice President, Supply Chain, Americas Simple Meals and Beverages, effective June 1. Under Furbee, Campbell will create an integrated global supply chain organization designed to deliver new capabilities and efficiencies to drive growth.
  • Jim Sterbenz, who assumed the role of Senior Vice President, U.S. Sales, effective June 15. Under Sterbenz, Campbell will create a single, integrated U.S. Sales organization for retail sales across all of Campbell’s U.S. business units — Americas Simple Meals and Beverages, U.S. Biscuits and Bakery and Campbell Fresh. Sterbenz will be responsible for driving sales capability, customer focus and joint business planning excellence, and will lead industry affairs for the company. This will allow Campbell to leverage the full scale of its portfolio to deliver exceptional customer service to accelerate profitable growth and expand into diversified channels.
  • Emily Waldorf, who is promoted in her role as Vice President, Corporate Strategy to the Campbell Leadership Team, effective June 15, 2017. Waldorf directs enterprise strategy development, planning and measurement. She manages key initiatives that span the company and also develops comprehensive external development strategies. Waldorf joined Campbell in 2012 as Director-Corporate Development, responsible for business development and merger and acquisition activity, primarily for Campbell’s North American businesses.

“As the external operating environment continues to evolve at a rapid pace, it is critical that we adapt our organization along with it to realize the potential of our Purpose, ‘Real food that matters for life’s moments.’ We are elevating these roles in recognition of the strategic importance they play for our business and our growth plans. Bob, Jim and Emily are exceptional leaders who have made many significant contributions to Campbell during their careers. Each brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our leadership team,” said Morris in an announcement.

“Developing our supply chain capabilities for future commerce, unifying our sales teams across divisions, and leveraging corporate strategy to identify and act on growth opportunities are key to our strategic imperatives. The appointments are part of Campbell’s efforts to build new capabilities, become a more agile and efficient company and deliver exceptional customer and consumer experiences,” he further added.
