The Takasago Group has opened its first flavours and fragrances factory in Indonesia

Takasago International Corporation, a global leading company, was established in Japan in 1920. Now Takasago has offices, production sites, and research and development centres in 27 countries. Takasago has developed flavors and fragrances for some of the world’s most successful manufactures of foods, beverages, fine fragrances, home and personal care products.

The Takasago Group has opened its first flavours and fragrances factory in Indonesia with investment of $25 million. Takasago constructed a new factory in the GIIC Industrial Park in Indonesia’s West Java Province.

Built on nearly 16,000 square meters of land, the facility has become Takasago’s 12th plant for flavours and fragrances production worldwide.

The factory will serve the Southeast Asia market with up to 14,500 metric tons of capacity per year.

 The company said in statement that “Flavors and fragrances markets in Indonesia with a population of 260 million people are expected to grow for years to come. While in the past, we imported and sold products made mostly in Singapore, in order to respond promptly to high local demand, we built a new Indonesian factory. The new factory will serve as one of our three-base production system in the South and Southeast Asian Region.”
