The leadership transition follows the departure of CEO Samuel Sigrist

The Board of Directors of SIG has announced the appointment of Ann-Kristin Erkens as the interim Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Erkens will continue in her role as Chief Financial Officer alongside her new responsibilities.

The leadership transition follows the departure of CEO Samuel Sigrist, who leaves after more than two decades with the company, including 4.5 years as its CEO. The Board expressed its gratitude for Sigrist’s contributions, noting his role in shaping SIG’s strategy and driving results.

“We have a new board composition at SIG since this year’s AGM in April,” said Ola Rollén, Chair of the Board. “The Board has used that time to review the strategy of the Company and we are confident that there is potential to accelerate growth and deliver improved performance. We are now looking to step change our execution with new leadership.”

Rollén confirmed that the Board has initiated the search for a permanent CEO and will work closely with Erkens in the interim to ensure operational continuity. “Ann-Kristin has the full support of the Board as she takes on this expanded role,” he added.
