The actives cover a range of health benefit areas – including gut health, immunity and skincare – and are available globally but have been designed to target Asian consumers specifically.
The addition of active ingredient manufacturing provides Sirio with a complete end-to-end service for these products and builds on the company’s global network of comprehensive R&D services and dosage manufacturing.
Significantly, since its launch earlier this year the ingredients have been proven popular with Asian partners and already two of its ingredients have clinched top awards at the Functional Food for Wellness Summit KL 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. SIRIO’s citrus extract and Peptivator Collagen Peptide have won the ‘Ingredient of the Year Award’ in the weight management and oral beauty categories respectively.

This innovative and highly efficient extract will be sold exclusively to Sirio customers as part of contract manufacturing agreements for one of three existing formulary options – citrus extract and L-carnitine; citrus extract and green coffee extract; citrus extract and caffeine – with additional combinations available on request. The company anticipates the citrus extract will deliver strong global sales, particularly for gummy-pair products – gummies with two active complementary ingredients – as they offer clear advantages over currently existing brands.
Sirio’s new citrus extract is manufactured with only natural ingredients (100 per cent citrus extract) and is non-GMO, and non-irradiated. Existing clinical studies have shown that citric extract has benefits for weight management and anti-inflammatory properties, and gut microbiota related to cardiovascular and digestive health.
