The production of vitamin C in Jiangshan was completely stopped in mid-May 2023

dsm-firmenich has recently sold its complete equity interest in DSM Jiangshan Pharmaceutical to Jingjiang Cosfocus Health Technology China. In June 2023, dsm-firmenich announced its plan to restructure its vitamin assets to reduce significant costs. As a part of this plan, the Xinghuo vitamin B6 plant in China was shut down, and the focus was shifted solely to vitamin C activities, exclusively on Quali-C from Dalry (UK).

The production of vitamin C in Jiangshan was completely stopped in mid-May 2023. The company is currently exploring various options for the Jiangshan site, including partnerships or repurposing manufacturing assets. However, the terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
