Iran inaugurates modern glass greenhouses to grow bell peppers

This glass greenhouse is located on 60 hectares of land and uses the latest technologies in the form of a modern glass structure and a hydroponic cultivation system

The President of Iran inaugurated one of the largest modern glass greenhouses in the country in Zanjan province. The facility includes 30 hectares of glass greenhouses and another 7 hectares of tunnels. The facility grows bell peppers, although the owners look to diversify into strawberries and cherry tomatoes in the future.

With the presence of Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi and following the plans of the second round of the provincial visit of the Popular Administration to Zanjan province, the country’s second smart and modern greenhouse was put into operation in Zanjan province.

This glass greenhouse town, named Vahdat Greenhouse Complex, is located on 60 hectares of land in the territory of Hidaj city and uses the latest technologies in the form of a modern glass structure and a hydroponic cultivation system.

With the establishment of this greenhouse town, 400 people will be directly employed and 12 thousand tons will be added to the annual production capacity of agricultural products of the province.
