US based ADM has opened a new research and development (R&D) centre in Shanghai, China, which the company claims will help the continued growth of the food and beverage industry in the Asia Pacific region.
According to ADM, the Shanghai Technology Innovation Centre has a wide range of facilities including food and flavour analysis laboratories; beverage and dairy application laboratories; baking and confectionery laboratories; cooking kitchens; sensory evaluation facilities and customer innovation centres.
The new centre is intended to strengthen the relationship between ADM and its clients in Asia, as ADM will be able to offer manufacturers in the region a full range of fragrance and special ingredient solutions to meet the needs of consumers.
