DoorDash also competes with firms like Deliveroo, Amazon Restaurants, GrubHub, and Postmates.

Soft Bank Group is planning to invest $ 300 million in San Francisco based food delivery startup DoorDash.

The investment will be made from Soft Bank’s Vision Fund, which has raised close to $100 billion to invest in technology companies.

The fund has been backed by companies like Apple and Sharp, as well as the Saudi Arabia sovereign wealth fund.

DoorDash also competes with firms like Deliveroo, Amazon Restaurants, GrubHub, and Postmates.

The food delivery company was last valued at around $720 million in March 2016, which includes the $130 million it has raised.

Another fast-growing rival, UberEats, also presents a possible conflict for SoftBank, which has launched a tender offer to acquire up to 20 percent of Uber.
