Clasado Biosciences has entered into a new distribution agreement with Globofarm International Pvt. Ltd., expanding access to its Bimuno GOS prebiotic ingredient across India.

The agreement brings together Clasado’s expertise in gut health science with Globofarm’s established market knowledge, regulatory support and distribution capabilities within the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical sectors in India.

Through the partnership, brands, manufacturers and formulators will have access to Bimuno GOS, alongside local commercial and market support. The agreement forms part of Clasado’s continued international expansion and strategy to strengthen its presence across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

“India is an important market within our wider international growth strategy, and partnerships with experienced local distributors are an important part of making our science and prebiotic ingredient solutions more accessible to customers around the world,” says Marcelo Durante, Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Clasado Biosciences. “Globofarm brings together strong knowledge of the Indian pharmaceutical and nutraceutical landscape, together with the local capabilities needed to support customers effectively. This partnership will help us to build new opportunities for Bimuno GOS while continuing to expand our global commercial reach.”

Mintel’s India Gut Health Management Market Report 2025 highlights growing consumer interest in managing digestive health and identifies opportunities for prebiotic solutions within the market. The report highlights growing interest in gut health management among Indian consumers and identifies opportunities for prebiotic and probiotic innovation, including the emergence of prebiotic products in the food and beverage category.

“This is a clear indication that there is scope for prebiotic ingredients such as Bimuno GOS, a well-characterised galacto-oligosaccharide (GOS) prebiotic, to selectively support beneficial bacteria in the gut across the APAC region. Its extensive body of research, with more than 135 published studies, provides manufacturers with a strong foundation for developing products designed to support digestive health and broader functional nutrition goals,” says Sebastian Nummelin, Regional Director APAC at Clasado Biosciences
