Caldic, a leading global distributor and development partner for the life sciences and materials sciences sectors, announced the official opening of its new Food Innovation Hub (iHub) in India, marking a significant milestone in strengthening its Food & Nutrition footprint across the Asia-Pacific region.
Serving as a Center of Excellence for Food & Nutrition, the Food iHub in Mumbai combines deep expertise in food formulation and application with state-of-the-art lab and blending facilities. This uniquely positions Caldic to co-create innovative solutions with customers for faster scale and commercialization.

By combining lab and testing facilities with sourcing, packing and regulatory expertise, the facility is designed to deliver end-to-end solutions that are fully aligned with local regulatory requirements while increasing customers’ supply chain agility.

The site incorporates environmental solutions, including solar energy provisions, while its strategic location and multimodal connectivity via rail, port, and air infrastructure support more efficient operations and lower-impact logistics. Located within a major industrial zone, Taloja, it facilitates close collaboration with leading food industry players, reinforcing its role as a strategic hub for innovation and partnership in APAC.
