Danone and Arcor have completed the formation of their joint venture in Argentina, bringing together Danone Argentina SA’s dairy business, Mastellone Hermanos SA and their shared logistics subsidiary, Logistica La Serenísima.
The new partnership combines Danone’s three-decade presence in Argentina with Mastellone Hermanos’ nearly 100-year heritage in the country’s dairy sector. Logistica La Serenísima will provide the joint venture with an integrated logistics platform.
The alliance builds on the companies’ more than 20-year partnership and aims to create a stronger, more integrated dairy business in Argentina. By combining the scale, capabilities and market reach of both companies, the joint venture is expected to support faster innovation, greater operational efficiency and expanded commercial reach across the dairy category.
The companies said the partnership is designed to deliver greater value to consumers across Argentina by leveraging their complementary strengths and expertise.
As a result of the transaction, Danone now holds equal control of the joint venture with Arcor. Effective August 1, 2026, Danone’s 50 per cent shareholding is reflected under ‘equity-accounted companies’ in its financial statements.
