SIG Group reported revenue of €843 million for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026, registering a 7.2 per cent increase at constant currency compared with the corresponding period last year. The packaging solutions provider also reported improved profitability and cash flow, prompting it to raise its full-year adjusted EBIT margin guidance.

“We delivered a strong third quarter, with solid revenue growth, significantly improved profitability and strong cash flow generation, also benefiting from a low comparison base in the prior year,” said Anne Erkens, CEO, SIG Group. She highlighted strong performance in the aseptic carton business across regions and improvements in operational efficiency, despite geopolitical uncertainty, volatility in raw material and freight costs, and varying regional demand patterns.

For the first nine months of 2026, SIG Group recorded total revenue of €2,402.5 million, compared with €2,347.5 million in the corresponding period of 2025, representing an increase of 3 per cent at constant currency.

Adjusted EBITDA for the nine months rose to €585.5 million from €556.3 million in the previous year, while the adjusted EBITDA margin improved to 24.4 per cent from 23.7 per cent. Adjusted EBIT increased to €390.6 million from €346.6 million, with the adjusted EBIT margin expanding to 16.3 per cent from 14.8 per cent.

For the third quarter, adjusted EBITDA increased to €212.9 million from €184.3 million in the year-ago period. The adjusted EBITDA margin improved to 25.3 per cent from 24 per cent. Adjusted EBIT rose to €146.9 million from €113.6 million, while the adjusted EBIT margin increased to 17.4 per cent from 14.8 per cent.

The aseptic carton business remained the primary revenue contributor, generating €1,913.3 million during the first nine months of 2026, compared with €1,838.3 million in the corresponding period last year. Revenue increased 4.2 per cent at constant currency, supported by strong growth in the Americas and India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA).

In contrast, the chilled carton business recorded revenue of €85.5 million, down from €89.6 million, while the Bag-in-Box and Spouted Pouch businesses generated €403.7 million, compared with €419.6 million in the previous year.

Regionally, the Americas recorded the highest revenue growth during the first nine months, increasing 6.1 per cent at constant currency to €677.6 million. Asia-Pacific revenue rose 3.1 per cent to €643.2 million, while IMEA recorded 5.8 per cent growth to €332.1 million. Europe reported a 1 per cent decline in revenue to €749.4 million.

In Asia-Pacific, growth was supported by market share gains, expansion into new channels such as school milk and snack shops, and demand for functional nutrition and protein products. Resilient milk consumption in Southeast Asia and the continued rollout of DomeMini with strategic customers also contributed to performance.

In IMEA, growth was driven by higher aseptic carton volumes, with strong momentum across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, North Africa and other African markets, including South Africa and Mauritania. Commercial performance remained strong despite supply chain disruptions in the Middle East.

In the Americas, growth reflected increased aseptic carton volumes and healthy demand across food applications in the US and Mexico, alongside continued expansion in liquid dairy packaging.

Commenting on the company's financial position and outlook, Erkens said SIG Group was making progress in strengthening its balance sheet and positioning the business for profitable growth. She added that the third-quarter performance provided a strong foundation for the company's strategic priorities and medium-term targets presented at its Capital Markets Day.
